The range of a used electric car depends on the model and battery condition. Recent models (2020+) generally offer between 300 and 500 km of real range. Older models (2015-2019) offer 150 to 300 km. On EV-Market, you can filter by range to find the electric car suited to your daily needs.
The battery State of Health (SoH) is the key indicator. It's measured as a percentage of the original capacity. On EV-Market, many listings include an official SoH certificate. You can also have a diagnosis performed by a professional before purchase. An SoH above 85% is excellent, between 75-85% is good, and below 75% implies a noticeable loss of range.
The most reliable and sought-after brands are Tesla (Model 3, Model Y), Renault (Zoe, Megane E-Tech), Peugeot (e-208, e-2008), BMW (i3, iX3), Volkswagen (ID.3, ID.4), Hyundai (Kona Electric, Ioniq 5) and Kia (e-Niro, EV6). Prices vary considerably depending on the model and year. Expect between €10,000 and €20,000 for a city car like the Renault Zoe or Peugeot e-208.
